Stephenie Gold, MA, Contributor
Stephenie Gold (M.A.) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Director at LEAP Clinic for children and youth (www.leapclinic.ca). Stephenie has been supporting families in private practice since 2003, and frequently delivers workshops to conferences and organizations across BC. She has co-authored several research papers (in peer-reviewed journals) on the impact of anxiety prevention/early intervention programs for children and youth, and is a Provincial Trainer/Consultant for the school-based program 'Friends for Life' for the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Stephenie is a frequent contributor to Anxiety Canada. She has most recently co-authored the sections for Teens/Youth and the popular self-help app for anxious teens called MindShift. In addition, Stephenie is a graduate of the Advanced Studies program at the Neufeld Institute, a committee member for the Dalai Lama Centre for Peace and Education, and is on the Advisory Board of the non-profit The Reading Bear Society. Stephenie draws from a wide base of evidence-supported theory and research, and is passionate about helping parents and educators support the healthy emotional development of children and youth.
