After working as a clinician-researcher in a psychiatric unit using cognitive-behavioral therapy, Frédéric Langlois, Ph.D., decided to devote himself fully to an academic career. Since 2005, he has been a professor in the psychology department at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières.
He directed this department from 2014 to 2019. His research and clinical interests include perfectionism and performance anxiety, generalized anxiety, hypochondria, and obsession-compulsion. He has supervised numerous clinical psychologists and also provides continuing education for mental health professionals.
