Dr. Roz Shafran is a Professor of Translational Psychology at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health in London, England. Roz is an honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist, a member of the Health Professions Council, and served on the Scientific Committee of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy for many years, including as co-Chair. She founded the Charlie Waller Institute of Evidenced Based Psychological Treatment in 2007 and is a Trustee of the Charlie Waller Trust, Patron of ‘No Panic’ and recipient of prizes such as the British Psychological Society Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology in Practice.
She is a former associate editor of ‘Behaviour Research and Therapy’ and a NICE Expert Advisor. Roz’s clinical research interests include disseminating and implementing evidence-based psychological treatments across the age range. She has expertise in obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and perfectionism.
Roz is a co-Director of Bespoke Mental Health Canada, which aims to close the science-practice gap by providing online training in evidence-based mental health delivered by global experts.
