Optional Tools

In addition to providing your child or teen with a variety of universal tools to help him/her navigate anxiety and related problems, your youth may have some specific fears or be faced with situations that challenge him/her in unique ways. For example, while many youth are comfortable sleeping away from home, some are not. Other youth get anxious when forced to talk in certain situations, and become silent. Still other youth find themselves stuck engaged in repetitive behaviours, or unable to take tests. If your youth has specific situations that generate anxiety and/or problematic behaviours, there are likely tools that can assist. These tools can be added to your child’s MAP at any time s/he is ready to use them.
