PANDAS/PANS

PANDAS and PANS (pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated with streptococcus, or ‘strep’) and (pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome) – are severe forms of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which is a disorder characterized by intrusive, persistent thoughts or fears (obsessions) that are temporarily relieved by repetitive behaviors (compulsions) that may bear no particular relationship to the thought or perception.
