In October, Dr. Kristin Buhr, a regular collaborator of Anxiety Canada, presented a workshop at the BC School Counsellors Conference titled: Strategies and Resources for Helping Youth Manage Anxiety. Kristen talked to the counsellors about effective strategies and resources for helping youth manage anxiety. She helped the participants learn CBT-based strategies and covered two Anxiety Canada resources – youth.anxietycanada.com and the free MindShift app that they can apply to support students struggling with test anxiety, perfectionism, social anxiety, performance anxiety, excessive worry, and panic.
