When we’re anxious, our body starts to undergo changes in order to prepare us to deal with danger.
Check out all the physical symptoms of anxiety:
Head | Lightheadedness or dizziness. |
Fingers and/or Toes | Numb or tingly. |
Chest | Tightness and/or sweating. |
Heart | Fast heart rate. |
Stomach | Upset or feeling nauseous. |
Lungs | Breathing faster. |
Thighs | Heavy feeling. |
Arms | Hairs stand up; chills; or arms shaking. |
Underarms | Sweating |
Face | Blushing; blurred vision. |
EXERCISE: Make a list of what you feel in your body when you’re anxious. It will help you spot anxiety in the future.
