Learning to Recognize When I’m Anxious — Body Reactions

When we’re anxious, our body starts to undergo changes in order to prepare us to deal with danger.

Check out all the physical symptoms of anxiety:

Head Lightheadedness or dizziness.
Fingers and/or Toes Numb or tingly.
Chest Tightness and/or sweating.
Heart Fast heart rate.
Stomach Upset or feeling nauseous.
Lungs Breathing faster.
Thighs Heavy feeling.
Arms Hairs stand up; chills; or arms shaking.
Underarms Sweating
Face Blushing; blurred vision.

EXERCISE: Make a list of what you feel in your body when you’re anxious.  It will help you spot anxiety in the future.
