Dr. Juliana Negreiros

Dr. Juliana Negreiros is a registered psychologist who has extensive clinical and research experience working with children and youth with anxiety, OCD, and behavioural difficulties. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in School Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Provincial OCD Program at British Columbia Children’s Hospital (BCCH). Dr. Juliana has published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on anxiety, neurocognition, academic functioning, and treatment outcome for pediatric OCD. Currently, Dr. Juliana runs a private practice in Port Moody, where she provides treatment to youth and their families using Cognitive Behavioural Thrapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques. In her practice, Dr. Juliana also conducts psycho-educational and ADHD assessments and offers in-service training and workshops nationally and internationally.

As a consultant to, and collaborator with, Anxiety Canada, Dr. Juliana has been a leading content contributor to the development of a province-wide package of classroom resources for K-7 educators designed to support students to manage everyday worries and anxiety. These resources, called EASE (Everyday Anxiety Strategies for Educators), are based on CBT principles and align directly with the B.C. Ministry of Education curriculum. Furthermore, Dr. Juliana has created website resources for Anxiety Canada.
