Kera joined the Anxiety Canada Youth Committee as a Youth Ambassador in September 2022 in pursuit of helping others whose lives have been impacted by anxiety.

In 2022, she completed a B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a certificate in criminology. She also completed a diploma in Medical Administration from Eastern College and has over 3 years of experience working with various clinics and non-profit organizations in St. John’s.

Kera discovered Anxiety Canada when searching for mental health resources online. Her home province of Newfoundland and Labrador currently faces a crisis-level shortage of psychologists and the worst wait times in Canada for mental health services. She believes that Anxiety Canada’s online self-help and evidence-based tools can play a profound role in helping individuals across Canada, especially those living in rural communities with limited access to mental health care. She is passionate about starting conversations that help destigmatize mental health and promote accessibility to long-term mental health resources.

In her spare time, Kera loves dog-sitting, cooking new recipes, and spending time outdoors.
